Bush's Denouncement of Swiftvet Ad

"That ad and every other ad run by such groups have no place in the campaign," Bush said, with regards to this swiftvets ad.

Does Bush really want these ads to go away? Highly doubtful. This is opening week stuff taught in "Manipulating the Masses 101." Secretly set into motion an unpopular plan while criticizing it publicly. By taking diametrically opposed positions you're poised to please everybody. I'll stop short of accusing the President of operating in this mode but it certainly fits the criteria.

This commercial and its condemning strike against the credibility of John has infuriated Camp Kerry. Unless of course this verbal spat is Kerry's way of keeping the debate off of his abysmal record as a U.S. senator.
